Donate Your Time

Give back to the city of Las Vegas and volunteer with Opportunity Village, an organization serving people with intellectual disabilities in the Las Vegas community. Projects include decorating the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village, painting decorations, cleaning, organizing items for the Santa Run and decorating a tree sponsored by BBVA and AFP.

AFPAware 5K Fun Run/Walk – The Holy Grail of Race Courses

Start your day with an invigorating 5K Fun Run/Walk down the Las Vegas Strip. Participants can run or walk with their colleagues on Las Vegas Boulevard, the holy grail for runners. The entire course takes place on the sidewalks that are parallel to each side of Las Vegas Boulevard.

The event takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 6:30-7:30 a.m. Click here to register. This is a rain or shine event.

Participate in a Paintfest

The Foundation for Hospital Art's mission is to give comfort and hope to those who suffer in hospitals by providing them murals at no cost in order to soften the experience for patients, families and hospital staff.

The murals for the Paintfest are pre-drawn by Foundation for Hospital Art artists and color coded. Attendees have the opportunity to paint during the opening exhibit hall reception on Sunday, exhibit hall hours on Monday and exhibit hall hours on Tuesday until 2 p.m.

Murals are displayed and presented during the closing general session. The murals are touched-up, signed to acknowledge the sponsorship and then donated to hospitals around the country to soften the experience for patients, families and hospital staff.

Paintfest is sponsored by BBVA Compass.

• In accordance with AFPAware, handouts will not be distributed at the AFP Annual Conference, but they will be available online.
